Two and half Daisies

Two and half Daisies

Wow…I was looking at my page and realizing how many posts I had started an not finished and were sitting in my drafts box. I really do miss blogging. I am hoping that this new spurt of creative energy continues. I remember thinking when I took this picture how that one daisy, half eaten and damaged was still beautiful. Isn’t that the way it can be with people. They can look worn and damaged and still have a spiritual light. A beauty that transends what their physical appearance displays. There are so many times I feel like that daisy. Half of me missing, damaged and worn. But, I would hope that I can maintain a spiritual light that can and does transend the physical pain and the worn appearnace. I am blessed to know people who have been going through trials both physical and spiritual and come out the other side with that wonderful spiritual light. They inspire me to continue and I will do my best to do so.

If I could leave you one thing…

I have been wondering lately if there was one thing that I could leave my husband, my son or my daughters, my grandchildren what would it be. Would it be a material item or would it be a spiritual, thoughtful one?

What would last longer? What would have more impact?  I think that a gift of the heart, a spiritual gift that would ease the pain of the past and enlighten their hearts and minds to make a better future for themselves and others would be the gift I choose. A light in the darkness.

I would love to give them a gift of light that they could look upon and know that I was always there with them in spirit. That my heart was fuller because of the love I had for all of them and the experiences, both good and bad that make us who we are. What made them who they are. Because I love them. All of them with all of my being. Faults and talents. I love them all and all of the tears and laughter having them in my life has brought

I am a Christian. I believe that there is a life after this one. I have experienced it in the most profound, life changing way possible. I have spoken on this before. I wish I could touch their faces and their hands and just pass on what I know deep inside. Though I live my life in pain both from the physical and the emotional, I still know peace at some level because I know ultimately I am not alone. He is there with me.

I wish I could mend their hearts and souls with the knowledge, with this feeling. It breaks my heart to think that I am in any way responsible for the doubts they have and the pain they feel concerning it. And because of things that happened in the past they have this pain and these doubts. And in one case complete disregard of the spiritual. And it makes me sad because they are missing out on something wonderful.

Sometimes I look at myself and wonder why I still believe when my own pain and problems dealing with life seems too much? And I know the answer. Because I know I am not alone. He is with me. I will find my way and I will continue to fight to find a way to show them too that it isn’t about how often you go to Church or how much of the bible you can recite. In the long run it is the church and word within your own spirit and how you live your life. It is the one on one connection that will matter most.

It is how you walk the path. And sometimes you fall on the path, sometimes you fall completely off the path and lose sight of what you were heading to. The darkness overwhelms you and you feel there is no light. But, there is. There is not true darkness without light. Follow that faint light. Your hands and feet will find the path. And eventually you will stand and walk again. wpid-wp-1433906601516.jpeg

Daily Prompt: Generous Genies

I have thought about this post for a few days. It is a perplexing problem. I am a Genie that has been freed from my bottle. I am able to give my three wishes to anyone I wish. Who would I give them to? I have decided that I would split up my wishes. I would give one to three individuals. The wishes must be made so that they benefit mankind as a whole. I wonder who would step up to the challenge of developing a wish that would not only benefit them but all of mankind. Would they wish for world peace? Endless resources? Love and Kindness? The eradication of evil and greed? Or would no one be able to stand up and make the wish unless it specifically gives them all that they want. I think I have enough faith left in the human race to know that there are genuinely altruistic people that would come forward and create such a wish.

https://themomentsmatterblog.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/very-inspringaward.jpg

I have been nominated for the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award” by Nance. http://themomentsmatterblog.wordpress.com/2014/06/20/the-very-inspiring-blogger-award-for-me

I have been so fortunate to meet so many wonderful people while I have been blogging. It has been a great experience. Meeting new people, hearing their stories, learning about their different lives and cultures. Nance is one of the wonderful bloggers that I have had the privilege of reading her posts. I write my blog from my heart. I want to be able to tell my story and my experiences so that I can be of help to others and hopefully show that you can recover from tragedy and hardship. I want people to know they can make a difference in other people’s lives for the better. They make a difference in this world for the better because they can. You never know when the simplest of acts of kindness and generosity can lead to the biggest changes in a person’s life and make this world a better place. I am fortunate to be a member of a great group of bloggers that participate in “Covey View”. There are great stories and great writers in this group and I am glad to know them.

Thank you again Nance for nominating me. It is a great honor.

3. I would love to get involved in community theater. I love the theater and drama club in high school was one of my favorite things to do.

4. I believe in Ghosts, the Afterlife in general and UFO’s. I have had too many experiences with each of these areas not to.

5. I  want to start a new movement in America called “Equalism”. It is similar to the Humanist Movement. 😀

6. I love the outdoors. Especially if I can find a nice quiet place in the woods next to a lake and just sit and contemplate. I do hate mosquitoes though, so have plenty of bug spray.

7. I believe that God intervened in my life at one point, my turning point, and that I am here for a purpose. I believe it is to help others and to help them aspire to better and bigger things. And it is my sincere hope that I continue to be an inspiration for people.

New Days, New Options

Each day that we wake up we have the opportunity to make choices that can make our lives easier or more difficult. When you live in poverty and you see your children without food and decent clothing or shelter you believe there is no other way than this. How can you ever get out of it? There is a path that you can take. It will not be an easy path. Life rarely makes it so. The path may be crooked and the hills steep with gravel and mud that make climbing to the top seem impossible. But, it can be done. With perseverance, dedication and faith it can be done. The faith in yourself that you can do better for yourself and your children. Look outside of yourself, look up into the sky, breathe the air and take a moment to focus. Find solutions within yourself and resolve to move forward and it can happen.

Reach out to the hands that may be there to help you and if there are none then go out and seek them. Reach out your hands to others that need the help as well. Soon there could be a network of people helping each other to stand taller and a line of strength that will help you reach the peak of that slippery mountain.

Blessings, prayers and thoughts for the easing of your burdens. Peace. Image
